Responsibilities
- Perform hard floor care including dusting and damp mopping.
- Conduct carpet and furniture care such as vacuuming, spot removal, and shampooing.
- Collect and dispose of trash, soiled linen, and recyclable materials.
- Replace receptacle liners and recycling collection totes.
- Clean horizontal and vertical surfaces including dusting, damp wiping, and spot cleaning of vents and light fixtures.
- Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, including cleaning fixtures and replenishing supplies.
- Clean and maintain items in assigned areas such as stairwells, elevators, and furniture.
- Change curtains, draperies, blinds, and shades as assigned.
- Operate electric and battery-powered equipment for cleaning services.
- Respond to floods and other emergencies, and wear protective clothing as required.
- Remove soiled linens and protective coverings, and cleanse and remake beds and stretchers.
Requirements
- Ability to read and understand written instructions in English.
- Ability to add and subtract numbers, and make comparisons between numbers and letters.
- Ability to understand and respond to simple written or verbal instructions in English.
- Ability to be courteous when making contact with patients and/or visitors.
