About the position
The Environmental Services Manager at Richland Hospital is responsible for overseeing the Housekeeping and Laundry Departments, ensuring effective coordination, implementation, and evaluation of services. This role involves fiscal management, staff competency assessments, and promoting a positive work environment aligned with the hospital's mission and values. The manager also interacts with the healthcare team to enhance patient satisfaction and may occasionally perform housekeeping or laundry duties.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and direct the operations of the Housekeeping and Laundry Departments.
- Implement and evaluate services and personnel management.
- Manage fiscal responsibilities related to the departments.
- Ensure staff competencies are established and communicated clearly.
- Assess patient satisfaction through survey results.
- Promote a cohesive work environment and effective communication among the healthcare team.
- Function as a working supervisor, performing housekeeping or laundry tasks as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma required.
- Formal management training preferred.
- Previous hospital experience preferred.
