About the position

The Environmental Services Technician Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of environmental services staff, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation in patient areas and corridors. This role includes assigning tasks, approving leave requests, conducting inspections, and maintaining equipment. The supervisor also plans and schedules work assignments, provides training, and ensures compliance with established guidelines and policies.

Responsibilities

  • Assign staff for routine and non-routine duties on a daily and project-by-project basis.
  • Approve leave requests for subordinates and recommend disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Inspect assigned areas to ensure timely completion of assignments and maintenance of sanitation levels.
  • Schedule regular meetings with staff to communicate new procedures or directives.
  • Plan daily and weekly assignments considering personnel and equipment availability.
  • Control the usage of supplies to manage costs within the unit.
  • Exercise technical and administrative supervision over subordinate workers.

Requirements

  • No specific length of training and experience is required, but evidence of training or experience must be provided.
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
