About the position

The Environmental Technician Foreman at Aquatic Resource Restoration Company is responsible for leading a crew in the installation of environmental restoration projects, including stream, wetland, and floodplain restoration. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to manage and motivate a team while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively leads, manages, and motivates a crew of 3-6 while performing own job duties.
  • Assigns daily crew tasks and leads them in a productive manner.
  • Serves as a mentor to all new hires.
  • Interprets blueprints, project plans, and specifications for job layout.
  • Plans and schedules with Operations for necessary manpower, tools, materials, and equipment needed to complete the job.
  • Accountable for ensuring that work completed meets and/or exceeds company standards.
  • Ensures a timely response to any safety-related issues or needs on the job site.
  • Effectively resolves problems with projects, materials, and workers as they arise.
  • Responsible for completing daily timesheets and maintaining daily logs and reports.
  • Ensures construction equipment and tools are cleaned and stored properly.
  • Performs routine inspection and preventative maintenance on assigned trucks & equipment; reporting all issues/repairs to the Operations Department.
  • Installs sediment control and stabilization measures, planting trees and shrubs, and installing erosion control matting.
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment, following all construction site safety rules and procedures.
  • Safely operates equipment and a variety of hand tools.
  • May be required to perform other duties as assigned by Operations.

Requirements

  • Prior landscaping and supervisory experience; preferably 2-3 years.
  • Experience working on stream restoration is a plus.
  • Must be able to operate a skid steer, dingo, truck/trailer, etc.
  • Effectively reads drawings and interprets specifications.
  • Must be able to work in outdoor environments, including prolonged walking or standing on various terrain in a wide range of weather conditions.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and meet necessary deadlines.
  • Must have a valid driver's license; with a clean driving record.
  • Should have the ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and carry up to 100 pounds.
  • Must follow all company rules, regulations, policies, guidelines, etc.
