The Environmental Technician I position at NES Fircroft involves performing routine fieldwork and supporting project staff in environmental sampling, equipment maintenance, and compliance inspections. This entry-level role is designed for individuals with minimal experience, providing training and supervision while working in various outdoor environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine fieldwork as a trainee, including environmental sampling and assisting with calculations.
• Support project staff by handling less complex duties and maintaining specified records of scientific data.
• Set up and operate equipment, inspect installations for compliance, and maintain project documentation.
• Collect and enter data while applying technical principles and theories under supervision.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a client-mandated drug test and medical clearance requirements.
• Ability to work in outdoor environments with uneven terrain and variable conditions.

Nice-to-haves

• Proficient in groundwater sampling and gauging techniques.
• Knowledgeable in groundwater and LNAPL treatment systems.
• Current 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.
• Experience with Oil and Gas clients and active petroleum facilities.
• Strong mechanical background and attention to detail.
