The Environmental Technician I position is an entry-level role focused on supporting project staff through routine fieldwork and environmental sampling. The technician will work under close supervision, performing tasks such as equipment maintenance, inspections, and data collection at various client sites. Responsibilities

• Perform routine fieldwork as a trainee, including environmental sampling and assisting with calculations.
• Support project staff by handling less complex duties and maintaining specified records of scientific data.
• Gather and maintain records related to operations, maintenance, and inspections at client sites.
• Assist with setting up and operating equipment, and inspecting installations for compliance with specifications.
• Collect and enter data while applying technical principles and theories under supervision.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a client-mandated drug test and background checks.
• Ability to meet medical clearance requirements of an OSHA (HAZWOPER) medical surveillance physical examination.
• Physically able to work in outdoor environments with uneven terrain and variable conditions.

Nice-to-haves

• Proficient in groundwater sampling and gauging techniques.
• Knowledgeable in groundwater and LNAPL treatment systems.
• Current 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.
• Experience with Oil and Gas clients and active petroleum facilities.
• Experience with environmental sampling (soil, soil vapor, groundwater).
• Basic computer skills.
