About The Position

McKee Foods is seeking a dedicated Environmental Technician Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing equipment and facility areas, working with high-pressure washing equipment, and ensuring a safe and sanitary work environment. This position involves working in various environments, including hot, cold, wet, and dry conditions, and handling different chemicals.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain or possess a Scissor Lift License
• Basic computer skills
• High initiative and self-motivation with the ability to work independently
• Strong attendance, work, and safety record
• Knowledge of and adherence to company food safety and product purity standards
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and organize multiple cleaning activities
• Capability to lift 40 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in varying climates
• Willingness to work flexible hours and attend required training

Nice To Haves

• Previous industrial cleaning experience
• Experience in food processing or food manufacturing
• Familiarity with industrial cleaning processes and sanitation equipment
• Training or experience with lift equipment operation
• Related safety training (e.g., blood borne pathogens, confined spaces, lockout systems, chemical management, dust hazards)

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned areas per the Master Sanitation System (MSS) or per supervisor instructions
• Clean and sanitize line equipment and conduct environmental cleaning
• Operate high-pressure washing equipment safely
• Work in varying environments (hot/cold, wet/dry, at floor level, and at heights)
• Safely lift up to 40 pounds and work around moving equipment
• Attend specialized training sessions as required
• Work safely with various chemicals and read production schedules
• Be aware of and manage potential allergen exposure (soy flour, peanuts, tree nuts, etc.)
