About the position

The Environmental Technician at Spur Environmental Services is responsible for performing tasks related to hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling hazardous materials. This role requires a motivated and team-oriented individual who can operate under the direction of the Project Manager and adapt to varying environmental conditions and physical demands.

Responsibilities

• Perform hazardous waste clean-up and site remediation tasks.
• Conduct equipment decontamination and handle hazardous materials safely.
• Operate under the direction of the Project Manager.
• Participate in emergency response projects as needed.
• Work in diverse environmental conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and hazardous environments.
• Engage in physical activities such as heavy lifting, standing, and walking.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience.
• Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
• OSHA 40 Hour Training required.
• Confined Space Training preferred.
• Ability to perform under a Respiratory Protection Program.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with pressure washing and waste handling.
• Familiarity with confined space operations and SAR (Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus).
