About the position

As an Environmental Waste Program Coordinator at a leading waste management company in Lynn, MA, you will play a crucial role in managing waste operations and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. Your work schedule will be Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic. In this role, you will be responsible for generating waste profiles and consolidating waste at end-user facilities. You will conduct inspections to identify deficiencies and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Maintaining inventories of waste packing and sampling supplies will also be part of your duties, along with coordinating and scheduling waste shipments, which includes preparing the necessary paperwork. Ensuring regulatory compliance is a key aspect of your responsibilities, which will involve conducting RCRA inspections, managing waste shipments, and maintaining generator logs. You will also perform waste sampling collection, preparation, and chain-of-custody for waste characterization. Additionally, you will provide technical support and assist with other related duties as assigned, making this a dynamic and impactful position within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Generating waste profiles and consolidating waste at end-user facilities.
  • Conducting inspections and implementing corrective actions for deficiencies.
  • Maintaining waste packing and sampling supplies inventories.
  • Coordinating and scheduling waste shipments, including preparation of required paperwork.
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance with RCRA inspections, waste shipments, and generator logs.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in waste-related and/or environmental operations.
  • Organized and detail-oriented.
  • Knowledge of DOT, RCRA, and Mass DEP regulatory practices.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Current 40-hour HAZWOPER, DOT, and RCRA training or the ability to pass courses upon hire.
