The EP Technician at HCA Florida Trinity Hospital plays a crucial role in performing interventional and diagnostic cardiovascular procedures, including pacemaker and AICD implantations. This position requires the safe operation of cardiovascular and radiographic equipment while adhering to aseptic principles. The technician will work under the direction of a cardiologist and RN, contributing to the hospital's commitment to patient-centered care and safety.
Responsibilities
- Perform interventional and diagnostic cardiovascular procedures under the direction of the Cardiologist and RN.
- Safely operate cardiovascular and radiographic equipment during procedures.
- Apply principles and practices of asepsis at all times.
Requirements
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Associate Degree in a relevant field.
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) certification, or Florida Certified Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
