About the position

The Electrophysiology Mapping Specialist at Boston Scientific plays a crucial role in supporting the Cardiology team by providing expert clinical product and technical assistance related to electrophysiology technologies. This position involves extensive training and development to ensure readiness for a hands-on, field-based role, where the specialist will educate and train healthcare professionals on the effective use of Boston Scientific's electrophysiology products, ultimately contributing to improved patient care and business success.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain advanced clinical knowledge of EP diagnostic and ablation technologies, EP mapping and recording systems, transeptal access technologies, and left atrial appendage occlusion technologies.
  • Attend procedures in cardiac CV/EP labs for clinical support and development efforts of BSC AF Solutions products.
  • Educate customers on the merits and proper clinical usage of AF Solutions products through presentations and demonstrations.
  • Meet with existing and potential customers to identify their clinical needs and demonstrate how company products can help achieve their goals.
  • Develop relationships with hospital personnel at all levels to facilitate future sales.
  • Respond to customer needs and complaints by developing creative solutions or collaborating with related personnel.
  • Demonstrate effective change leadership and build strategic partnerships within the organization.
  • Implement and monitor strategies outlined by the quarterly plan of action for the area.
  • Coordinate territory and BSC sales management efforts to build strategic partnerships.
  • Develop relationships with key referring physicians to promote market development and growth.
  • Train on and maintain knowledge of clinical trial protocols and compliance regulations.
  • Manage clinical trial activity within the assigned territory, including Interest Visits and Site Initiation Visits.
  • Educate clinical investigators on clinical trial protocols and investigational products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 6 years of 3D cardiac mapping system experience or minimum of 10 years in medical device sales, clinical electrophysiology or equivalent education and experience.
  • Demonstrate technical aptitude and ability to discuss complex technical product information.

Nice-to-haves

  • NASPE/IBHRE CEPS certification.
  • Work experience in Atrial Fibrillation/Cardiac Mapping/Structural Heart Procedure.
  • Existing usage of 3D cardiac mapping system.
  • MS or advanced degree in business or healthcare.
