About the position

The EPC Project Manager will oversee and manage all phases of project execution for a leading EPC firm in Atlanta, GA. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure project success in areas such as safety, quality, schedule, cost control, and stakeholder communication. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management within the engineering or construction sectors, with a focus on electric and gas transmission projects.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional program teams, including project managers and functional specialists.
  • Maintain professional relationships and clear communication with clients, program teams, subcontractors, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders.
  • Manage project lifecycle, including development, execution, and closeout in greenfield and brownfield locations.
  • Oversee planning, scoping, siting, outreach, engineering, permitting, real estate acquisition, procurement, contracting, construction, and project controls.
  • Ensure project scope and deliverables meet client requirements.
  • Identify, communicate, and mitigate risks and issues with program managers, project teams, and clients.
  • Develop and manage project schedules to achieve program goals.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate project cost forecasts and accruals.
  • Develop, implement, and improve project policies and standard procedures.
  • Utilize document control, scheduling, cost control, and project management software effectively.
  • Collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team environment to resolve issues and accomplish objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management.
  • At least 5 years of experience in project management.
  • Proficiency with project management software.
  • PMP certification is a plus.
