About the position

The position involves obtaining and maintaining EMR system certifications while participating in various activities related to workflow analysis, data collection, database customization, reporting, system testing, and user training. The role requires effective communication with clinical and nonclinical staff, support for ongoing EMR operations, and documentation of work efforts. The analyst will work under guidance to implement approved projects and manage multiple assignments, ensuring timely completion and adherence to policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Attend class and complete required testing and projects to obtain EMR system certifications.
  • Participate in workflow analysis, data collection, database customization, reporting, system testing, and user training.
  • Provide ongoing support for the EMR, including new installs, software updates, and upgrades.
  • Communicate with clinical and nonclinical staff to understand needs and relay status updates.
  • Evaluate release notes and project scopes to develop build strategies for implementing assignments.
  • Document all work efforts in detail to support audit reviews.
  • Participate in meetings with analysts, team leads, and managers to gather data for assignments.
  • Review and approve change management requests for the EMR.
  • Submit weekly work plans with daily updates on execution status.

Requirements

  • Minimum of Associate Degree preferred or equivalent work experience in a healthcare setting.
  • One year of work experience in a healthcare setting with demonstrated leadership characteristics.
  • Working knowledge of hospital and/or outpatient operations.
  • Strong organizational ability and communication skills.
  • Exceptional oral and written skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in patient care, patient accounts, registration, scheduling, claims, and/or health information management.
