About the position

The Epic Application Analyst I at Baylor Scott & White Health is responsible for configuring and providing functional and technical support related to EPIC Cadence provider template design and builds. This role involves collaborating with clinic partners to understand scheduling workflows and patient access goals, making necessary adjustments to templates, and serving as the main communication point for assigned users. The analyst will also perform in-depth analysis of template management workflows, assist with testing, and support system maintenance and upgrades.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate in the design, creation, and building of scheduling templates in the EPIC Cadence system.
  • Provide consulting services to internal stakeholders regarding template build best practices.
  • Identify access barriers related to templates and recommend improved design options to clinic partners.
  • Fulfill clinic partner template management requests with a high degree of customer service and attention to detail.
  • Provide EPIC Cadence application support related to template management, implement system updates and changes, and communicate those changes to clinic partners.
  • Solve problems by studying Patient Access issues/requirements, examining workflows, and synthesizing key messages.
  • Serve as a liaison between clinic end users and the Patient Access team specifically related to provider template management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years of work experience above the minimum qualification.
  • Less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Epic Cadence Certification (must obtain within 120 days of hire).

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with Patient Access concepts and strategies.
  • Proficient with word processing, spreadsheet, and email software applications.
  • Demonstrated customer-oriented service excellence principles.
  • Ability to execute complex tasks through organization and detail-oriented approach.
  • Demonstrated excellent mutual communication skills among facility customers and team members.
  • Working knowledge of Scott and White workflows with an understanding of the inputs/outputs from an end user and patient perspective.
