About the position

The Epic Applications Analyst plays a crucial role in analyzing, designing, testing, debugging, integrating, implementing, training, maintaining, and supporting healthcare and business-related computer systems. This position requires close collaboration with business units to understand their strategies and processes, ensuring that IT needs are met effectively. The analyst will also mentor junior analysts and work on enhancing the overall patient experience through technology solutions.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, develop, modify, and maintain application processes and technologies.
• Convert user specifications into functional and technical specifications.
• Establish professional relationships with internal and external customers.
• Manage vendor and operational customer relationships, including scoping application services.
• Troubleshoot computer issues and resolve incidents according to service level agreements.
• Write and review system documentation and training materials.
• Apply standard testing methodology to new and modified systems.
• Monitor and evaluate application performance post-implementation.
• Participate in an On Point rotation to provide consistent support to customers.
• Conduct gap analysis and recommend technology solutions.

Requirements

• Associates or technical degree in IT, medical, allied health, or business area required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years' experience in related healthcare or business area required.
• Minimum of two years' experience in analysis, design, implementation, support, and maintenance of computer systems required.
• Previous experience with implementing, configuring, and/or supporting vendor-supplied software required.
• Epic certification required.

Nice-to-haves

• Additional Epic certification within four months of hire.
• Experience in healthcare IT environments.
