About the position

The position involves analyzing, designing, testing, debugging, integrating, implementing, training, maintaining, and supporting healthcare and business-related computer systems. The role requires close collaboration with business units to understand their strategies and processes, ensuring that IT needs are met effectively. The analyst will also mentor junior staff and maintain professional relationships with both internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, develop, modify, and maintain application processes and technologies.
  • Convert user specifications into functional and technical specifications.
  • Establish professional relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Manage vendor and operational customer relationships with the help of senior analysts.
  • Troubleshoot computer issues and resolve incidents according to service level agreements.
  • Write and review system documentation and training materials.
  • Apply standard testing methodology to new and modified systems.
  • Commit to continuous improvement of patient experience and quality of care.
  • Monitor and evaluate application performance post-implementation.
  • Participate in an On Point rotation to provide timely support to customers.
  • Provide updates to stakeholders regarding system enhancement requests and issues.
  • Conduct analysis of information, processes, and systems to recommend solutions.
  • Assist stakeholders in adopting new technology and communicate changes affecting their usage.

Requirements

  • Associates or technical degree in information technology, medical, allied health, or business area required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in related healthcare or business area required.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in analysis, design, implementation, support, and maintenance of computer systems required.
  • Previous experience with implementing, configuring, and/or supporting vendor-supplied software required.
  • Epic certification required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Additional Epic certification within four months of hire.
  • Experience in healthcare IT systems.
