About the position

The Epic Instructional Designer at CommonSpirit Health is responsible for developing and maintaining course curricula and training materials for applications, specifically focusing on Epic Beacon certification. This remote position requires collaboration with Subject Matter Experts to ensure alignment between system design and educational content. The role involves building and testing training environments, conducting training sessions, and updating materials for software upgrades, all while utilizing multimedia technology effectively.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain course curricula and training materials for applications.
• Participate in workflow analysis and design with Subject Matter Experts.
• Build, test, and maintain the training environment.
• Conduct training for divisional credentialed trainers as required.
• Coordinate training material updates for software upgrades and updates.
• Support the management of project scope, schedule, and quality of training materials.
• Gather training requirements and conduct workflow walkthroughs.
• Lead weekly team meetings to discuss project activities and updates.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Leadership to maintain work plans and status reports.
• Independently complete tasks for curriculum design and development.
• Manage the technical build, testing, and migration of the system with vendor resources.
• Convert traditional courses into online learning modes as needed.
• Develop instructional materials consistent with adult learning theory.
• Maintain tools and processes to support the training program's effectiveness.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent knowledge and skills in a Healthcare environment.
• At least five (5) years of relevant healthcare experience.
• Experience with adult learning and curriculum delivery preferred.
• Valid Epic Beacon certification required, with a commitment to maintain certification.
