About the position

The Business Intelligence (BI) Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing analytics tools and data solutions to meet business data needs. This role involves interfacing with various stakeholders to create reports, dashboards, and analytics that reflect business workflows and drive actionable insights. The BI Developer will also maintain existing BI solutions and ensure they meet performance objectives.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement analytics tools and data solutions.
• Gather requirements and analyze data to develop robust analytics solutions.
• Interface with clinical, financial, and operational business leaders to design reports and dashboards.
• Plan, design, architect, develop, test, and implement new BI solutions.
• Troubleshoot, monitor, and maintain existing BI solutions.
• Write relational and multidimensional database queries that meet performance objectives.
• Familiarize with data warehousing design and development methodologies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems (MIS), Business or related/relevant degree AND minimum of 2 years of experience as a BI Developer, Data Analyst, Business Analyst, Operations Analyst, Data Engineer, Database Developer, and/or Technical/Systems/Application Analyst.
• OR minimum of 4 years of experience in the aforementioned roles.
• Experience with business intelligence tools such as Microsoft BI stack, SAP Business Objects, TIBCO Spotfire, Tableau, SAS, Crystal Reports, etc.
• Experience programming in SQL, Python, R, SAS or equivalent programming languages.
• Experience writing relational and multidimensional database queries and database object development.

Nice-to-haves

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare, provider and/or managed care/insurance environment.
• Epic certifications: Epic Cogito, Caboodle Data Model, Clarity Data Model, and at least one of the following - Clinical/Patient Access/Revenue Cycle Data Model.
• Experience utilizing, developing and supporting Epic Cogito tools.
