About the position
The Cashier position at Hollywood Casino Tunica involves providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The role requires operating a cash register, maintaining financial integrity, and ensuring cleanliness in the dining area. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about helping guests and promoting casino events while adhering to company standards and policies.
Responsibilities
- Provides fast, friendly, professional and responsive customer service to restaurant guests and staff.
- Operates a cash register/POS System, ensuring accurate transactions and maintaining financial controls.
- Keeps designated working area clean and organized, assisting in maintaining cleanliness of the dining room as necessary.
- Promotes current casino events and programs, providing guests with directions to various casino areas.
- Thanks customers, invites them back, wishes them luck, and facilitates their return to gaming.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Prior customer service experience in a fast-paced environment preferred.
- Previous cashiering experience in a high-volume restaurant preferred.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Availability to work required schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
- Must meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by company policy.
