About the position

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative BI Developer to join our collaborative data visualization and reporting team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SQL and a strong proficiency in transforming complex datasets into intuitive visual representations, with a deep understanding of healthcare informatics. This role is pivotal in deriving actionable insights from data to support Parkview Health's commitment to improving community health and well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Engage closely with clinical and business stakeholders to understand their needs and collaboratively design BI solutions.
  • Leverage Epic Clarity, Caboodle, and BI tools to develop robust analytics solutions such as reports, dashboards, and data extracts.
  • Maintain data quality, adhere to standard protocols, and ensure HIPAA compliance while prioritizing efficiency and scalability.
  • Develop subject matter expertise in Epic Data Models and BI Tools, and mentor colleagues to enhance knowledge and adopt best practices.
  • Provide service excellence to customers, empowering self-service reporting and facilitating understanding of data insights.
  • Propose and implement enhancements to BI processes, tools, or methodologies to foster innovation and streamline workflows.
  • Apply advanced problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex data and system-related challenges.

Requirements

  • Epic Clarity certification is mandatory.
  • 3-5 years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a related field.
  • Competent in intermediate to advanced SQL querying techniques.
  • Proficient in analytic solutions and platforms such as Excel, Crystal Reports, Tableau, Qlik, Databricks, and SAP Business Objects.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer relations skills and a team-oriented mindset.

Nice-to-haves

  • Significant experience in a healthcare setting or working with healthcare data.
  • Epic EMR Certifications for Clinical, Revenue Cycle, or Access Data Model tracks.
  • Advanced certifications and experience with cloud-based analytic solutions and platforms.
