About The Position

The Epic Information Systems Associate Clinical Analyst plays a crucial role in the implementation and management of Epic and associated clinical systems. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of system build and implementation, as well as the ability to analyze business problems and recommend solutions that align with organizational goals. The analyst collaborates with clinicians and end users to design, build, test, train, implement, evaluate, and maintain systems that enhance patient care delivery and improve outcomes.

Requirements

  • Epic Certification or ability to complete certification within 3 months of completing classes.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft suite of products.
  • Experience communicating complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
  • Demonstrated creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal guidance and be a rapid learner.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-3 years of clinical or technical background preferred.
  • EMR application/implementation experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of clinical/technical workflow preferred.
  • College Degree (AS, Diploma, B.A., B.S. or 1 year commensurate experience) in a field of study such as business, IS, or a healthcare related is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clinicians and end users to design, build, test, train, implement, evaluate, and maintain Epic and associated systems.
  • Perform gap analysis and identify needed process changes during the implementation of new solutions or functionality.
  • Communicate effectively with hospital leadership, clinicians, physicians, and ancillary department staff.
  • Design, build, and configure within assigned Epic system modules and supporting third-party applications.
  • Develop test scripts and materials for end-to-end workflow testing, including unit, system, and integration testing.
  • Troubleshoot issues or system deficiencies and initiate escalation procedures as required.
  • Participate in multiple cross-functional projects and understand project planning and coordination methodologies.
  • Provide documentation on system upgrades and new releases of Epic applications and provide training if required.
