About the position

The EPIC Clinical Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for the analysis, programming, testing, troubleshooting, modifying, and implementing information systems components using complex fourth generation programming languages. This role requires a high degree of accuracy and quality in processing functions, solving production problems, and documenting projects. The position is remote and is offered as a 3-month contract with a possible extension.

Responsibilities

• Perform programming, analysis, project planning, and implementation activities to improve information availability to management and users.
• Develop and assist in the development of work plans and task sequencing, determining which tasks may be performed concurrently.
• Conduct technical testing during upgrades to ensure all programs function correctly.
• Follow established standards for naming conventions, change control, and time reporting.
• Utilize knowledge of application systems to rectify production processing problems in a timely manner.
• Evaluate additional functionality requested by management and users using knowledge of computer hardware and system software.
• Prepare and maintain clear documentation relating to the function and operation of application systems and programs, including backup procedures.
• Provide project status reporting to team members, management, and users as required, along with time estimates for assigned tasks.

Requirements

• 3-4 years of related experience in business intelligence development.
• High degree of skill in at least one fourth generation programming language.
• Understanding of job control languages, operating systems, and programming tools.
• Proficiency in PC Office Software.
