The Credentialed Trainer supports the operationalization of Epic across University Health campuses by leading end-user training, developing training documentation, and facilitating efficiency sessions. This role involves maintaining training schedules, providing at-the-elbow support, and representing Epic in operational meetings. The trainer also reviews application enhancements and assists in implementation planning while fostering good working relationships with colleagues.

  • Lead end-user training using the curriculum approved by principal trainers.
  • Develop training documentation that is approved by the Principal Trainer.
  • Assist in maintaining the Epic Training Class Schedule and corresponding attendees.
  • Facilitate clinician/end user efficiency sessions, one-on-one meetings, and department-based sessions.
  • Provide at-the-elbow support and collect feedback from end users to report to the principal trainer.
  • Represent Epic in operational meetings as needed.
  • Review new application enhancements/upgrades and assist in the development of implementation plans.
  • Maintain a good working relationship with co-workers and other UH staff.
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field.
  • Experience in Epic application systems.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge and application of adult learning principles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills in managing multiple priorities.
  • Understanding and interpreting clinical and non-clinical workflows, processes, and terminology to translate information into educationally sound training content.
