About the position
The Epic Data Warehouse Developer position is a remote contract role focused on providing end-to-end delivery of reporting and analytics solutions within the Epic ecosystem. The role requires strong SQL development skills and experience with Epic tools, particularly in the areas of data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes. The developer will work closely with clinical leaders and stakeholders to ensure accurate data reporting and compliance with healthcare standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide end-to-end delivery of reporting and analytics solutions in the Epic Cogito Clarity Custody Health space.
- Gather and document requirements, design solutions, and obtain SME signoff.
- Develop SQL queries and stored procedures for data extraction and reporting.
- Collaborate with operational clinical leaders and project office staff to capture workflow documentation.
- Train and mentor junior developers on best practices and perform code reviews.
- Follow Enterprise Software Development Life Cycle standards for testing and production migration.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of Epic Clarity Data Model analytics development experience.
- 5+ years of SQL query and stored procedure development experience.
- Working knowledge of Epic tools such as Slicer Dicer, Cogito SQL, and Radar.
- Strong communication skills to document and communicate with management on status, risks, and issues.
- Ability to transition work and provide mentorship to junior developers.
Nice-to-haves
- Strong experience creating Stored Procedures with Clarity data in a clinical setting.
- Experience with Epic Radar Dashboards and Reporting Workbench.
- Epic Inpatient and Ambulatory experience in various clinical settings.
- Experience creating Business Intelligence outputs in a Custody/Jail setting.
