About the position

The Epic Client Systems Administrator (ECSA) at Accenture is responsible for the ongoing maintenance and support of Epic Client Systems components within a live Epic instance. This role involves managing the Epic Windows Server infrastructure and ensuring the reliability and performance of various Epic applications and services. The ECSA will collaborate with other teams, participate in system updates, and maintain documentation while providing round-the-clock support for Epic systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide management and support for technical perspective of the Interconnect, Hyperspace, EPS, Web BLOB, Hyperspace Web, BCA, MyChart, Carelink/Healthy Planet, Haiku, Rover, Care Everywhere, Home Health, Kuiper, and System Pulse services
  • Participate in routine update and upgrade of Epic system for ECSA components
  • Support other Epic Windows based applications
  • Create and maintain knowledge base documentation
  • Adhere to standard IT support processes to provide round-the-clock support of Epic Client Systems components, including on-call rotation
  • Collaborate with other functional teams on maintenance and new implementation of third party products
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, research, install, and document infrastructure needs
  • Peer development of team members
  • Assist in the testing of all production services and their supporting systems for redundancy, resilience, and failover to ensure up-time standards and Service Level Agreement (SLA) are fully achieved
  • Develop, test and maintain disaster recovery technologies and procedures

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Healthcare IT in an Epic Client Systems Administrator role
  • At least one of the following certifications: Epic Client Systems Administrator: Hyperspace, Epic Client Systems Administration: Hyperspace Web, Interconnect, and System Pulse, Epic Client Systems Administrator: BLOB, Business Continuity Access, and Printing, Epic Client Systems Administrator: Care Everywhere, Epic Client Systems Administrator: MyChart
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (12 years) work experience (If an associate degree with 6 years of work experience)

Nice-to-haves

  • Strong understanding of Citrix VDI
  • Knowledge of Cisco UCS Architecture
  • Familiarity with EMC Storage Arrays
  • Understanding of layer 2 and layer 3 concepts
