About the position

The Epic Instructional Designer is responsible for mastering the Epic application/system and the clinical and operational workflows at Temple Health. This role involves managing the development and implementation of training programs tailored for the assigned applications and the impacted end users. The Instructional Designer will actively participate in workflow designs and system builds to gain a comprehensive understanding of the system's functionality and the rationale behind the workflow designs. This position requires the preparation and maintenance of documentation and all course materials necessary for role-based education. Additionally, the designer will maintain and prepare training environments for each training class, ensuring that all materials are ready for scheduled courses. Collaboration is key in this role, as the Instructional Designer will work closely with training coordinators to schedule appropriate courses and with Credentialed Trainers to deliver end-user training. They will also act as a resource for E-Learning course development, ongoing new hire education, go-live/end-user support, and demonstrations of the Epic system. The position may also involve managing a team of matrixed support and credentialed trainers who deliver training, ensuring that all educational needs are met effectively and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Credentialed Trainers to deliver end user training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Systems, Clinical or Technical; Education (Required).
  • 5 years of experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite - Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, etc. (Required).
  • 5 years of experience with Epic projects (Preferred).
  • 5 years of experience working in a hospital/health care environment (Preferred).
  • EC - Epic Certification (Preferred).
