About the position

The Epic Principal Trainer - Cupid/Radiant is responsible for developing and maintaining the training program for various roles within the application. This position collaborates with training managers, application coordinators, and specialty champions to ensure effective training delivery and support for clinicians and end users. The role requires expertise in adult education and the ability to create instructional materials that meet the needs of diverse learners.

Responsibilities

  • Develops role‐based training content using various software programs and tools.
  • Designs, develops, and maintains instructional materials, including standard operating procedures.
  • Incorporates feedback into existing training and administration procedures.
  • Learns new content and collaborates with subject matter experts to develop training materials.
  • Assists with building and testing training environments, providing support and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborates with other trainers by co‐facilitating classroom instruction and assisting with exercises.
  • Prepares training lessons, prints materials, and sets up the training room prior to sessions.
  • Presents information clearly and effectively in both verbal and written formats.
  • Serves as an expert educator to internal staff and supports personalization labs for users.
  • Trains and credentials additional classroom trainers as needed.
  • Manages projects through prioritization and adherence to timelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 1 year of applicable IT or clinical experience.
  • Specific EHR modules certification required within 3 months of class completion.
  • Skill and experience in adult education.
  • Demonstrated flexibility with respect to required changes in training content and delivery methods.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of work activities.
  • Excellent analytical, organization, and oral communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare business processes and technology.

Nice-to-haves

  • Working knowledge of IT solutions and interfacing.
  • Basic understanding of clinical workflows and terminology.
