About the position

The Credentialed Trainer at TidalHealth plays a crucial role in providing both initial and ongoing training and support for Epic EMR to healthcare providers, including physicians and advanced practice providers (APPs). This position is designed to ensure that all users are proficient in utilizing the Epic system effectively, which is essential for maintaining high standards of patient care and operational efficiency within the Medical Center and its affiliated practices. The Credentialed Trainer will collaborate closely with a Principal Trainer to develop training materials and deliver training sessions that cater to the needs of adult learners in a healthcare setting. This role is hybrid, requiring 80% onsite presence and 20% remote work, allowing for flexibility while ensuring that trainers are available for hands-on support and training. The trainer will be responsible for evaluating the performance of providers in using the Epic system, providing constructive feedback, and facilitating continuous improvement in their usage of the EMR. The position demands excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information and support to the providers. Additionally, the trainer must obtain Epic Credentialed Trainer status within 30 days of hire, which underscores the importance of this certification in delivering quality training.

Responsibilities

• Provide initial and ongoing Epic training and support to healthcare providers.
• Collaborate with the Principal Trainer to develop training materials.
• Evaluate provider performance in using the Epic system and provide constructive feedback.
• Facilitate training sessions tailored to adult learners in a healthcare environment.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Epic EMR functionalities and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience teaching adult learners.
• Experience in a healthcare field preferred.
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred.
• Competent computer skills, proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Obtain Epic Credentialed Trainer status within 30 days of hire.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
