About the position

The Epic Revenue Cycle Analyst Associate plays a crucial role in the implementation and management of Epic Information Systems within the healthcare environment. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of system build and implementation, as well as the ability to analyze business problems and recommend solutions that align with organizational goals. The analyst collaborates with clinicians and end users to design, build, test, train, implement, evaluate, and maintain Epic and associated systems, ensuring effective patient care delivery and improved outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clinicians and end users to design, build, test, train, implement, evaluate, and maintain Epic and associated systems.
  • Perform gap analysis and identify needed process changes during the implementation of new solutions or functionality.
  • Develop and maintain system process documentation and outline process steps using appropriate tools.
  • Design and develop test scripts and materials for end-to-end workflow testing; perform unit, system, and integration testing per standards.
  • Troubleshoot issues or system deficiencies and initiate escalation procedures as required.
  • Participate in multiple cross-functional projects and understand project planning and coordination methodologies.
  • Provide recommendations for resolution of problems found and report status updates to management.

Requirements

  • Epic Certification or ability to complete certification within 3 months of completing classes.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft suite of products.
  • Experience communicating complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
  • Demonstrated creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks within deadline constraints.
  • Basic knowledge of HL7 and API concepts.

Nice-to-haves

  • 1-3 years of clinical business or technical background preferred.
  • EMR application/implementation experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of clinical/business/technical workflow preferred.
