About the position

The Epic Revenue Cycle Intermediate Analyst plays a crucial role in the implementation and management of Epic systems within the healthcare environment. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of system build and implementation, as well as the ability to analyze business problems and recommend solutions that align with organizational goals. The analyst collaborates with clinicians and end users to design, build, test, train, implement, evaluate, and maintain Epic and associated systems, ultimately enhancing patient care delivery and improving operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clinicians and end users to design, build, test, train, implement, evaluate, and maintain Epic and associated systems.
  • Serve as a lead member of the Revenue Cycle Applications Team, focusing on electronic documentation solutions that support clinical and revenue cycle workflows.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders to capture business and technical requirements.
  • Assess workflow processes, identify gaps, and define necessary process changes for new solutions or functionality.
  • Design, build, and configure assigned Epic system modules and supporting third-party applications.
  • Develop and maintain system process documentation and outline process steps using appropriate tools.
  • Create test scripts and materials for end-to-end workflow testing, including unit, system, and integration testing.
  • Stay current on industry trends and ensure software modifications/upgrades meet Epic specifications.
  • Follow departmental standards for software configuration control and quality assurance.
  • Troubleshoot issues or system deficiencies and provide recommendations for resolution.
  • Participate in or lead multiple cross-functional projects, communicating project status and deliverables.
  • Break down raw information and undefined problems into specific, workable components to identify issues.
  • Provide guidance and act as a resource for other analysts, project managers, and consultants.
  • Actively participate in meetings, reporting status updates and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • College Degree (AS, Diploma, B.A., B.S. or commensurate experience) in business, IS, or a healthcare-related field.
  • 1 or more years' experience developing training materials and documenting workflow design.
  • 1 or more years of relevant Epic experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Strong understanding of registration workflows, insurance verification, payer/plan.
