About the position

The Epic Revenue Cycle Senior Analyst plays a crucial role in the implementation and management of Epic and associated systems within AdventHealth. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of system build, business analysis, and solution recommendations to enhance patient care delivery and operational efficiency. The analyst collaborates with clinicians and end users to design, build, test, train, and maintain systems that align with organizational goals, ensuring improved outcomes and patient experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clinicians and end users to design, build, test, train, implement, evaluate, and maintain Epic and associated systems.
  • Analyze and document workflows, perform gap analysis, and identify necessary process changes during the implementation of new solutions.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders to capture business and technical requirements.
  • Design, build, and configure within assigned Epic system modules and supporting third-party applications.
  • Create and maintain system process documentation and outlines process steps using appropriate tools.
  • Develop test scripts and materials for end-to-end workflow testing, including unit, system, and integration testing.
  • Troubleshoot issues or system deficiencies and provide recommendations for resolution.
  • Participate in or lead multiple cross-functional projects, communicating project status and deliverables.
  • Act as a resource for other analysts, project managers, and consultants, providing guidance as needed.
  • Identify and act upon opportunities for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Epic Certification or ability to complete certification within 3 months of completing classes.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft suite of products.
  • Extensive experience communicating complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
  • Demonstrated creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of clinical/revenue cycle/technical workflow.
  • Ability to work with minimal guidance and manage multiple tasks and projects within deadlines.
  • Advanced knowledge of HL7 and API concepts.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5 years of clinical, revenue cycle, business or technical background preferred.
  • EMR application/implementation experience preferred.
  • Estimates and slicer dicer experience preferred.
