About the position

The Epic Revenue Cycle Intermediate Analyst plays a crucial role in the implementation and management of Epic systems within the healthcare environment. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of system build and implementation, as well as the ability to analyze business problems and recommend solutions that align with organizational goals. The analyst collaborates with clinicians and end users to design, build, test, train, implement, evaluate, and maintain Epic and associated systems, ensuring effective patient care delivery and improved outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clinicians and end users to design, build, test, train, implement, evaluate, and maintain Epic and associated systems.
  • Analyze and document workflows, perform gap analysis, and identify necessary process changes during the implementation of new solutions.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders to capture business and technical requirements.
  • Design, build, and configure within assigned Epic system modules and supporting third-party applications.
  • Create test scripts and materials for end-to-end workflow testing, including unit, system, and integration testing.
  • Stay current on industry trends and ensure software modifications/upgrades meet Epic specifications.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and provide recommendations for resolution with minimal supervision.
  • Participate in or lead multiple cross-functional projects, communicating project status and deliverables.
  • Act as a super user of supported applications, training and mentoring new employees.
  • Participate in on-call responsibilities to support a 24/7 production systems environment.

Requirements

  • Epic Certification or ability to complete certification within 3 months of completing classes.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft suite of products.
  • EMR application/implementation experience.
  • Experience communicating complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
  • Demonstrated creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects within deadline constraints.
  • Intermediate knowledge of HL7 and API concepts.

Nice-to-haves

  • 3-5 years of clinical, business or technical background.
  • Knowledge of clinical/business/technical workflow.
