  • Identify and analyze public health issues and their impact on public policies or epidemiologic studies or surveys.
  • Provide advice on the use of data science tools, methods, and statistical learning models to collect, link, process, code, classify, and analyze public health surveillance, research, and administrative data.
  • Serve as an Epidemiologist consultant for public health programs or projects, addressing technical challenges in program execution.
  • Participate in the synthesis of social science and epidemiologic data to design effective prevention programs and practice guidelines.
  • Bachelor's or graduate/higher level degree in a field related to medical, health sciences, or allied sciences.
  • For GS-11: One year of specialized experience or equivalent to GS-09, including assisting with epidemiological studies and disease data surveillance.
  • For GS-12: One year of specialized experience or equivalent to GS-11, including conducting epidemiological studies and disease data surveillance.
  • Experience with statistical software and data analysis tools.
  • Knowledge of public health policies and practices.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
