About the position

The University of Delaware's College of Health Sciences is seeking an experienced and innovative faculty member for an open-rank, continuing track position in the Biostatistics Core of the Epidemiology Program. This role focuses on teaching and providing expert biostatistical guidance in research design and analysis, requiring a strong background in statistical software and methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Teach courses in epidemiology, research design, and biostatistics.
  • Provide expert biostatistical and methodological guidance to faculty and researchers.
  • Collaborate with faculty on the design, conduct, analysis, and interpretation of data from various research studies.
  • Adapt or develop new methods to address novel design and analysis issues in research.

Requirements

  • Earned PhD, DrPH, or ScD in biostatistics, epidemiology, data analytics, or a closely related field.
  • Expertise in statistical software such as SAS and R.
  • Specialization in biostatistics or advanced qualitative methods.
  • Experience with a range of research designs and analytic techniques.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in interdisciplinary research.
  • Familiarity with Bayesian methods.
  • Previous teaching experience at the graduate level.
