About the position

As a Barclays EQ Electronic Trading Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) - Vice President, you will provide 2nd Line Support for low latency trading platforms, ensuring the availability, effectiveness, and accuracy of production systems. The role involves proactive problem management and continual improvement of technical and business processes to maximize business value.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for the service management function to resolve complex issues for clients.
• Develop the support model and service offering to enhance customer service.
• Execute preventative maintenance tasks on hardware and software, utilizing monitoring tools to identify and address potential issues.
• Maintain a knowledge base with detailed documentation of resolved cases for future reference and knowledge sharing.
• Analyze system logs, error messages, and user reports to identify root causes of issues and provide resolutions.
• Implement automation, monitoring enhancements, and capacity management to ensure optimal performance.
• Identify and remediate potential service impacting risks and issues.
• Proactively assess support activities and implement automations to maintain stability and drive efficiency.

Requirements

• Experience in production data analysis and low-latency trading environments.
• Strong technical knowledge of algorithmic trading, Smart Order Routing, and Exchange Connectivity.
• Familiarity with middleware technologies and electronic trading platforms.
• Ability to analyze system logs and error messages to troubleshoot issues effectively.
