Requirements

  • Must obtain certification as a Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).
  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in federal service, including analyzing, planning, and scheduling maintenance activities for large complex equipment and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a senior level analyst and management adviser in formulating, planning, executing, evaluating, and reporting on the Area Office maintenance program.
  • Formulate program requirements for present and future work, including developing and recommending goals and objectives.
  • Coordinate activities with all levels of Area Office personnel, including management, engineering, technical support staff, craft personnel, and administrative support staff.
  • Ensure job plans are reviewed and revised to reflect current maintenance and safety practices.
  • Prepare various reports on maintenance planning, progress, and accomplishments, promoting successes and best practices.
  • Run established or ad-hoc reports in MAXIMO to manage preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Establish job priorities and schedule requirements, coordinating with managers and lead craft personnel.
  • Identify job hazards and safety precautions, including special permits and clearance requirements.
  • Develop job plans for routine and complex work requiring specialized tools and materials.
  • Prepare justifications of time, labor, and material cost estimates, job task lists, and flow diagrams.
  • Provide basic inspection and acceptance of maintenance and repair services on equipment or facilities.
  • Visit job sites to determine the scope of work and materials required for job packages.
