About the position

The Equipment and Process Manufacturing Engineer will play a crucial role in enhancing production capabilities and implementing continuous improvement initiatives across all areas of manufacturing. This position involves a variety of responsibilities, including problem-solving, researching equipment purchasing, and acting as a liaison between design and manufacturing departments. The engineer will be tasked with researching, justifying, selecting, and purchasing capital equipment and processes, ensuring that the manufacturing operations are equipped with the latest technology and tools necessary for optimal performance. In addition to equipment procurement, the engineer will learn to operate the capital equipment purchased and troubleshoot any material and manufacturing equipment and process problems that arise. A key aspect of this role is to optimize work sequencing and workflow through various machines and work centers, which will involve making informed decisions about whether to make or buy certain components, ultimately aiming to increase efficiency and reduce costs. The engineer will also coordinate the outsourcing of parts and conceptualize tooling and fabrication designs to support production needs. The role requires the development and issuance of Manufacturing Engineering policies and procedures, as well as staying updated on the latest technologies in the field. The engineer will provide budgeting information and project updates to management, ensuring that all projects are on track and within budget.
