As an Equipment Associate at United Rentals, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our branch. This position involves performing a variety of manual tasks that are essential for maintaining our equipment rental services. Your primary responsibility will be to provide labor assistance to service technicians, sales staff, and other branch personnel, all of whom are dedicated to meeting the needs of our customers. This role is not only challenging but also rewarding, as it opens up pathways for advancement into our Driver and Service Technician development programs. In this position, you will be responsible for checking equipment for damage, hours used, mileage, and fuel levels upon its return to the branch. You will also inspect rental equipment to ensure it meets safety compliance and is in good working order. Keeping our equipment clean and maintaining a tidy work area is essential. Additionally, you will load and unload rental equipment, prepare it for rental, and demonstrate its use to customers. Driving a delivery truck for equipment pick-up and drop-off will also be part of your duties, along with any other tasks assigned as needed.
