About the position
The Equipment Automation Technician role at Flex is focused on maintaining and troubleshooting automation and robotic systems during the night shift. This position requires a blend of technical skills and collaboration with engineering teams to ensure the efficient operation of automated systems, contributing to the overall success of manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain continuous operation of automation and robotic systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Conduct regular preventative maintenance on robotic and process support equipment.
- Work with the automation team on the qualification of automated systems.
- Disassemble instruments and inspect components for defects.
- Assist in formulating test, calibration, repair, and evaluation plans.
- Help process technicians and engineers with the installation and removal of process equipment.
Requirements
- Experience with material handling, automation, and robotics.
- Proficiency in electronic assembly, including schematics and PCB loading.
- Skills in cable assembly, crimping, soldering, and harness assembly.
- Familiarity with machine operations and mechanical/electrical tools.
