About the position

This position is responsible for managing new business development originating from the Commercial Bank sales channel. The incumbent supervises and develops a team of Commercial Bank Leasing Specialists to drive new business originations from the bank Commercial Bankers, including prospecting, strategic development and overall sales deployment to the bank's customers and prospects. Additionally, the incumbent will have direct new business development goals within the bank Commercial channel.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees sales in the Equipment Financing Commercial Bank unit that originates transactions through Commercial Bankers, commercial clients, prospects and centers of influence.
  • Educates, trains and guides Commercial Bank Leasing Specialists on how to effectively engage bank Commercial Bankers and deliver the equipment finance product to bank customers and prospects.
  • Services assigned Commercial Bankers, commercial clients and centers of influence to grow their equipment finance portfolio.
  • Provides training and sales support to commercial bankers and centers of influence on the benefits of lease products.
  • Meets directly with bank customers and prospects to assist the Commercial Bankers in delivering the equipment finance product and close lease transactions.
  • Develops sales skills, product knowledge and professional growth of Commercial Bank Leasing Specialists.
  • Directs performance of the team to continue to achieve results set forth in the company's strategic plan.
  • Reviews sales performance and strategic objectives with the Equipment Finance President to develop strategies geared towards improving the Equipment Finance product offering.
  • Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • BA or BS
  • 10 years of job-related experience
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to use a personal computer and job-related software
  • MS Word - Basic Level
  • MS Excel - Intermediate Level
  • MS PowerPoint - Basic Level
  • Experience in a sales and relationship position related to commercial banking or leasing
  • Knowledge of business finance and the ability to read and evaluate financial statements
  • Valid Drivers License
