About the position
The Equipment Inspector/Yard Manager at Interesse International Inc is responsible for inspecting construction and aerial equipment, ensuring safety and compliance, and managing yard operations. This role involves direct interaction with customers, handling equipment logistics, and utilizing company software for inspections and communication.
Responsibilities
- Inspect equipment and complete inspection reports for customers.
- Take comprehensive photographs to document inspections.
- Identify necessary repairs on equipment.
- Load trucks with sold equipment and unload purchased equipment following safety guidelines.
- Represent the company in the yard, greeting customers and assisting in sales functions.
- Utilize computer and company-installed software for inspections, equipment releases, and communication.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience working directly with various categories of construction equipment.
- Experience in handling, appraising, moving, loading, and unloading equipment.
- Prior work experience in a rental yard or contractor environment.
- Proficiency in using phone and computer software for administrative tasks.
- Strong communication skills.
