As an Equipment Logistics Technician I, you will be responsible for managing the flow of medical equipment in and out of patient areas. This includes handling various medical devices such as infusion pumps, syringe pumps, specialty beds, bedside commodes, and feeding trays. Your role will involve recovering equipment for processing and redistribution, as well as cleaning, evaluating, and inspecting these devices to ensure they meet safety and operational standards. The ideal candidate for this position will possess a high level of energy and the ability to handle a variety of assignments with urgency. You should be able to recognize tasks that need to be accomplished and execute them with minimal supervision. Basic computer skills are necessary, along with strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills, both in person and over the phone. This position requires a balance of independent work and teamwork, as you will be supporting both clinical personnel and operations within the healthcare environment. Responsibilities

  • Cleans, delivers, evaluates and inspects specified medical devices.
  • Documents work activity in an electronic database.
  • Delivers and recovers specialty carts and procedural trays.
  • May be required to order supplies and ensure adherence to unit/department budget.
  • May be required to stock patient rooms or deploy supplies for use within unit/department.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Hospital experience or logistics experience preferred.
  • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.
  • Ability to be mobile for extended periods.
  • Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment.
  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
  • Ability to move/transport items weighing up to or more than 100 pounds (lbs).
  • Ability to inspect equipment.
  • Ability to clean, operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning products.
