About the position

The Specialist Equipment Maintenance role involves supporting the Maintenance and Repair team in the Life Science, Pharma, and Food & Beverage industries. The position focuses on inspecting, repairing, and maintaining complex electro/mechanical and fluidic systems, ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect instruments to determine necessary repairs or adjustments.
• Operate, troubleshoot, and rectify problems with complex instrumentation.
• Perform repairs, maintenance, and calibration on instruments as needed.
• Interact professionally with internal support groups and external customers.
• Manage and provide accurate completion of Work Orders and related documentation.
• Complete necessary paperwork within Customer Relationship Management and ERP systems, including calibration certificates and service reports.
• Provide customers with documentation of work completed, including Service Reports and Instrument Calibration and Performance Reports.

Requirements

• High school Diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of business experience using standard Windows-based computer applications (Microsoft Office suite, SAP, Oracle Salesforce or similar).
• 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced, collaborative business environment.
• Experience with basic hand, power, and electrical measuring tools.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent instrumentation/electronics background.
• 1+ years of Life Science/Pharma/Food & Beverage instrumentation experience.
• 1+ years of field service and/or field technician experience.
• Proficient with electronic measuring equipment and basic tools.
• Aptitude to handle difficult customers and situations.
