About the position

The Bilingual Equipment Operator at SiteOne Landscape Supply is responsible for the safe and effective operation of heavy equipment to load, offload, and transport various landscape supplies. This role requires maintaining situational awareness and proficiency to minimize risks of injury or property damage while performing assigned tasks. The position also involves cleaning and maintaining equipment, advising on maintenance needs, and assisting with other duties as assigned by management.

Responsibilities

• Operate all assigned equipment such as front-end loaders, skid steers, track loaders, articulating loaders, rubber tire wheel loaders, and excavators safely and proficiently.
• Clean and maintain equipment as scheduled and/or required.
• Advise branch leadership of any requirements for equipment maintenance and/or repairs.
• Assist with other duties assigned by management, including receiving materials, inventory, order processing/fulfillment, and general labor tasks.

Requirements

• Experience operating equipment such as front-end loaders, skid steers, track loaders, articulating loaders, rubber tire wheel loaders, and/or excavators, strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of proper safety and maintenance protocols for the equipment mentioned.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
• Ability to frequently lift 50 pounds or more.
• Capability to work in extreme weather conditions such as heat, cold, snow, and rain.
• Experience in the landscape, hardscape, forestry, nursery, or irrigation industry is a plus.
• Ability to read and write to record daily logs and maintain daily equipment checklists.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
