About the position
As an Equipment Operator at Reworld, you will play a crucial role in the safe and efficient processing of inbound materials and refuse through the company's industrial disposal process. This position involves operating various types of industrial equipment to manage waste effectively, contributing to Reworld's mission of achieving carbon-negative outcomes through innovative waste management solutions.
Responsibilities
- Receive and process inbound materials through the safe operation of various types of industrial equipment, such as forklift, track hoe, skid steer, vacuum truck, tanker truck, roll-off truck, walking floor trailer, pressure washer, material handling equipment, and various hand tools.
- Receive, weigh, unpack, and label containers as necessary.
- Safely operate industrial equipment to consolidate dumped refuse on the tipping floor.
- Follow defined industrial and manufacturing good housekeeping practices at all Reworld facilities and within assigned work areas.
- Perform exterior site maintenance and improvement, including litter collection, painting, snow removal, and ice prevention.
- Control traffic for incoming and outgoing vehicles.
- Assist facility mechanics with equipment repairs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to ensure safe and efficient facility operations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred.
- A minimum of 1 year experience operating industrial equipment.
- Ability to work a rotating shift schedule.
