About the position

The Equipment Operator at JDM Golf LLC plays a crucial role in maintaining high-quality golf courses and ensuring guest satisfaction. This position involves operating and maintaining golf course equipment, assisting with horticultural activities, and performing small improvement projects on the course.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent in maintaining golf courses and ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Perform golf course maintenance activities using proper technical methods.
• Carry out small course improvement projects.
• Assist Groundskeeper with horticultural activities.
• Perform operator maintenance on golf course equipment.
• Attend monthly and weekly staff meetings, including training and safety meetings.
• Clean maintenance area and equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Valid Arizona Driver's License.
• Ability to properly and safely operate golf course and landscape equipment.
• Extensive knowledge of the repair and maintenance of golf course equipment.
• Knowledge of welding equipment and safe operation as it pertains to golf course maintenance.
• Ability to recognize, communicate, and resolve maintenance and repair challenges.
• Knowledge of golf course maintenance techniques and methods.
• Ability to identify plant species common to the southwest region.
• Knowledge of fertilizers and pesticides, and their application techniques.
