In this role, the Equipment Purchasing Manager will be tasked with identifying and evaluating potential suppliers, negotiating terms and conditions, and securing contracts that provide the best value for the company. The manager will also be responsible for fostering relationships with key suppliers, monitoring their performance, and identifying cost-saving opportunities while ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures. This position requires a proactive approach to managing the Non-Conformity Reporting program, ensuring prompt follow-up with vendors, and implementing corrective and preventative actions that support the company's business objectives. The Equipment Purchasing Manager will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to understand their specific business needs and develop sourcing strategies that effectively address those needs. Additionally, the manager will be responsible for reporting and analyzing procurement KPIs, developing and maintaining procurement policies and procedures, and assisting in establishing inventory management practices. The role also involves maintaining accurate records of procurement activities and supplier performance, as well as analyzing and reporting on the supplier diversity program and metrics.
