About the position
The Equipment Repair Technician II will be responsible for performing maintenance, repair, and overhaul work on electronic aircraft components according to technical data. This role requires adherence to Turn-Around-Time (TAT) requirements and participation in continuous improvement activities within the shop. The technician will also ensure compliance with safety practices and may be required to work evening or night hours, as well as extra hours during peak business times.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, repair, and overhaul work on electronic aircraft components according to technical data.
- Ensure work is completed in accordance with Turn-Around-Time (TAT) requirements.
- Participate in shop audits as scheduled.
- Perform area cleaning and maintenance as required.
- Participate in shop and facility Continuous Improvement activities and initiatives.
- Adhere to safe work practices and contribute to the health, safety, and environmental program.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of three years of work experience in a related or similar field.
- Basic mechanical and/or electrical aptitude.
- Ability to read drawings and schematics.
- Ability to use an oscilloscope, multimeters, and various test equipment.
- Basic computer skills in Word, Excel, etc.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with blueprints and schematics.
- Past aerospace industry experience.
- Experience using schematics and component symbols.
