About the position

The Equipment Salesman position is a permanent role focused on developing and expanding customer relationships in the agriculture equipment sector. The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter with strong communication and customer service skills, tasked with creating and executing sales strategies to meet revenue goals.

Responsibilities

  • Exceed monthly and quarterly revenue expectations and meet sales and lead generating activities goals to ensure future business
  • Initiate outgoing cold calling and emailing to potential customers, schedule in-person sales appointments, and follow up on client requests for information
  • Position us as the clear and obvious choice in our market through competitive analysis and product trends
  • Close the deal after creating, presenting, and negotiating a solution to your prospects
  • Secure new deals and target buyers quickly, giving them the information they need to envision our brand and close deals efficiently
  • Convert 'no' into 'yes' by identifying and resolving potential obstacles such as budget, timelines, shareholders, competition, and other pain points.

Requirements

  • A consistent top performer in sales
  • High school diploma required
  • Industry and product knowledge
  • Deadlines and details motivate you to provide exceptional customer service to your prospects, clients, and team alike
  • You love talking and meeting with prospects, presenting to them, closing the deal, and asking for referrals
  • 2-5 years of equipment sales experience or related marketing experience
