About the position
The Equipment Services Technician I at Krispy Kreme is responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment across various locations. This role involves installing, servicing, and providing technical assistance to ensure the proper functioning of equipment, while also advising on preventative maintenance. The technician will travel extensively, both domestically and internationally, to respond to emergency repair requests and support shop personnel.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with installing, servicing, or performing on-site repairs of complex equipment.
- Providing technical assistance to shop personnel and guidance on general maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment.
- Responding to requests for emergency repairs.
- Working under directions and guidelines without direct contact with a supervisor.
- Acting as a liaison between the department and shop personnel.
- Handling on-call responsibilities by fielding support calls during and after business hours.
- Traveling extensively domestically and internationally as needed using various modes of transportation.
- Working in the Equipment shop as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to travel extensively; up to 90%.
- Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams and engineering drawings.
- Strong communication skills.
- Reading and math skills.
- Proven problem-solving skills.
- Two to five years of previous maintenance/troubleshooting experience.
- Clean driving record is required.
- The ability to travel by air internationally.
- PLC experience, preferably Siemens.
